Waiting list

Upon registration, if an activity is fully booked, you will have the opportunity to be on a waiting list. If spots become available, parents will be contacted in order of priority. Otherwise, it will not be possible to register for this activity and you will not be contacted.

We therefore suggest that you register your child for another activity, since if no places become available, your child will not be registered at all.

To confirm that you have been put on the waiting list, you must complete the registration process until you receive a confirmation. No fees will be charged for any activity for which you are “on hold”.

Registration assistance

If you encounter problems with your online registration, please contact us. A registration agent will be available to help and answer your questions, several times a week during all of the registration period.

Transfer

An activity and/or a registration week transfer is possible, free of charge, upon availability.

Refund

A refund is given minus a $25 penalty per request upon notification of withdrawal from a camp program if the request for cancellation is made at the latest by noon on Monday of the previous week*.

*No refund will be issued if this delay is not respected. A participant will receive a full refund if Sportmax cancels the camp. All refunds will be processed within 30 days after the request date via the payment method used in the original transaction.

Understanding tax deductions

When you pay for day camps, the amount paid is eligible as childcare expenses on your income tax return. By considering the deductions and credits provided for in the Quebec and Canadian tax laws, this amount is significantly reduced.

All taxpayers are entitled to relief, but the amounts of deductions and credits vary according to income and family situation.

At the provincial level

The provincial tax credit reimburses between 67% and 78% of the amount paid in childcare expenses. The percentage applied is based on family income.

At the federal level

The federal tax credit is a deduction of the amount of the fees paid from the lower income of the parents. Thus, the amount paid in childcare expenses reduces the income and saves the tax payable on the equivalent amount declared as childcare expenses.

By February 28 of the year following the summer for which the childcare expenses were paid, we issue a Statement of Child Care Expenses (RL-24 Slip) that you can print through your online enrollment file and use for your provincial and federal tax returns.

This information, based on tax file data for the year 2022, is intended to provide a summary of deductions and credits and is for information purposes only. Since there are many different family situations, please refer to a professional or to the documentation provided by the governments for full details.
